The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- However, their position as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This means them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
Future Episodes
From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Planners tables.
Audiences can anticipate learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
